Scrambled Eggs in a Mug
In my house, breakfast always seems to be hard. I think it’s because no one really knows what they want. Also, time really plays a factor in what we eat and make. This little trick I am going to share with you may not be anything new to some, but for others, it will be a game changer! The microwave is a friend to almost every household in the world and for good reason. It is fast and simple, which is exactly what our crazy lives need. I LOVE mug recipes because they are a small portion and take no time to prepare. Have you or the kids ever wanted scrambled eggs with cheese and not had the time? Well, I am here to let you in on a little secret….there is always time for scrambled eggs! Just follow the recipe below and you will never leave the house hungry, again. This is simple enough the kids can make this mug recipe, too!
Scrambled Eggs in a Mug
Equipment
- Microwave
Ingredients
- 1 or 2 eggs
- 1 tsp water
- 1 Tbsp shredded cheese
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Lightly spray a soup bowl or deep mug with cooking oil. Crack egg into mug, add water, cheese and salt & pepper. Take a fork and mix egg up well. Place in microwave for 45 seconds and check to see if all is cooked and no yoke is running. If it is still runny, place back in for 5-10 seconds. A little liquid in the bottom isn't bad. It shouldn't get totally dry. ** It is very important to not over cook. The egg will get rubbery. So, check often after the 1st 45 seconds. ** (For 2 eggs, cook for 1 min and check) Microwaves will vary in cook times.
