Easy Dairy Free Homemade Hot Chocolate

So rich and creamy, that you will never know it is dairy free! Enjoy a cup with marshmallows and sip your cares away!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar (I use pure cane sugar)
  • 1/4 cup pure cocoa powder
  • 4 cups coconut or almond milk (Regular milk works fine)
  • 1 tsp Espresso powder (optional, but the taste is amazing) (you can find this in the isle with the cocoa)
  • 1/2 Tbsp pure vanilla
  • Marshmallows for the top

Method
 

  1. Turn your stove top to low/med heat. In a medium size sauce pan, pour in water, both sugars, espresso powder, and cocoa. Mix with a whisk and make sure all is mixed up and there are no clumps. Heat this mixture until hot, then add Milk & vanilla. Heat this till hot, but NOT boiling. Now, grab some mugs and enjoy!
