The Best Gluten Free Flour Blend For Breads and Muffins

I have bought so many flour blends over the years. Some worked, some were okay, and some were just awful. Gluten Free baking is so tricky and is totally a science experiment. I feel like the chemist in a lab that suits up, goggles are on, test tubes out and that feeling of “here we go, again!” Not to mention, praying that whatever you are making, actually works and you don’t have to throw it in the trash! Sometimes, I have felt like I needed to put a whole 9 x 13 pan, full of cash, in the oven and set it on fire….LOL! If you have ever cooked, Gluten Free, you know exactly what I mean. It can get overwhelming and “suck the fun” right out of cooking. Now, that said, I have finally found a flour blend that I have mixed together myself and it seems to work really well. It holds up well, not gritty, and best of all, it tastes AMAZING!

This blend of flours works so well and creates the best texture and taste for those favorite baked goods.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Brown Rice Flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Potato Starch
  • 1 Cup White Rice Flour
  • 4 1/2 tsp Xanthan gum

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine all Flours and xanthan gum. Place in an air tight container for daily use.

Notes

**I usually double or triple this recipe and keep in a container, in the pantry, so it is ready to go.**
 
**This has been a great blend to use 1 for 1 in recipes that call for all purpose flour**
